All our oak furniture has solid framing, legs, and drawer fronts, with robust oak veneers on larger surfaces. Joints are traditionally made so the furniture is very sturdy and comes as a complete finished piece, not flat-packed.
To maintain the lovely matt tones of oak, and prevent it from turning to ‘orange’ tones when in the sunlight, we have the surfaces treated to keep them looking new and fresh for a long time.
We have two finishes, ‘weathered’ and ‘limed’, which both enhance the beautiful grain of the oak but have a subtle difference. Both have a matt, oiled finish, and have a slight ‘colourwash’ which has been lightly applied and which can be mainly seen in the grain of the wood at close quarters.

The ‘weathered’ finish has a slightly grey, darker tone in the grain, whereas the ‘limed’ finish is slightly whiter. The underlying oak colour is the same for both, and so the difference between our pieces with these finishes, is not too obvious and they can easily be blended together; especially if you like an eclectic collection of furniture that compliments your other pieces rather than everything matching.
Most of our bedroom furniture has the weathered look – such as the MELBURY bedside tables in the smaller and wider version of three drawers.

We have recently introduced a limed oak finish within our handpicked collection , and the standout pieces with this finish are our statement HAMPSHIRE long sideboard and CERUSE three drawer chest.
HAMPSHIRE has four drawers and doors. This is such a good piece to use in a hallway or dining room to make a feature on a long wall, and also has a lot of useful storage.

CERUSE is our most recently added full sized chest of drawers. It has solid, carved oak fronts and is a very sturdy piece of furniture. The limed oak wash gives it a slightly lighter appearance.
